Howdy! ¡Hola! Grüss
Gott! Ciao! Bonjour! Thank you for taking the time to visit and get to
know a bit about me. Hopefully my “welcome” gave away the fact that I
love languages - because I love people. Sharing my story with you is my
way of letting you take a peek into the heart and soul of who I am. Do
we have common aspirations? Values? Goals? Dreams? Am I someone you will
feel comfortable having as a business coach? Well, read on and see…
Growing up on a ranch, horses, cattle, orphan deer, barnyard fowl,
fields, forest, vegetable gardens and the wonders of nature filled my
world. My best friend and confidant was an amazingly patient horse
named Babe. How could I have endured those tender years without her?
At age 13, my family moved from Mira Loma, California to Yelm, which was
then to a tiny town in western Washington State. My parents were loving,
hard working folks. They gave me great amounts of time and shared their
example of how to do your best to live a life of strength, contribution
and individual worth. Mom and Dad knew that having strong spiritual
values and a good education were very important and did all they could
to provide these for me. I hold these values dear to my heart and am
grateful for all they did for me.
This all sounds so serious. Let me assure you we were pretty
“normal”. We spent a lot of time together doing what we loved: working
with our horses and cattle, fishing, gardening and generally just being
together outdoors. I was Dad’s shadow. I learned fairly early that it
just doesn’t do to lean down too closely to inspect what he was
hammering on! And, can you imagine the patience of a man trying to teach
an 8 year old how to tie a bowline knot? Mom was quite a character.
She loved to explore and do new things. Actually it seemed that I did
all the new things and she watched! One day after church, she decided
that since it was low tide “we” should go dig oysters. Trust me, one
does not “dig” oysters. After an hour of frenetic attempts to “dig
quickly enough to catch them”, an amused observer demonstrated it is
MUCH easier to simply pick them from the rocks standing nearby!
If you were able to peek into the years of my life between ages 13 and
50, you would view a dizzying array of incredible experiences. The
opportunities I was given to travel, experience a number of cultures,
live in amazing places and be so very blessed by friends and family seem
practically impossible to imagine in one lifetime. Naturally there were
the challenges, tears, and losses that provided the tempering and
strengthening. Through these times, I chose to focus not on what I
“lost” or endured…but what I learned, how my faith expanded and the
loved ones who stood by me, strengthened me, and cheered me onward.
After working my way through college I received a commission as an
Ensign in the US Navy Nurse Corps. I loved my military career. All 20
years of it! There were lots of adventures, including duty on aircraft
carriers, living on a remote Aleutian island, and serving in a war zone.
In the late eighties, I met a delightful gentleman who became my very
best friend and fishing buddy. Shep and I were married in 1988 and
combined our two families. He was instant “Mr. Mom” to a very busy 5
year old son and I was blessed to become a mother to another wonderful
son…. all as I began my anesthesia residency.
As I was serving in the Navy with frequent deployments at sea, Shep was
successful in his efforts to be a husband, father and homemaker. I am
the first to admit that deep inside, I longed to be the one at home
being the homemaker and full time Mom. If this had been possible, I
would have been there. However, due to my service obligations and
educational payback time, it simply wasn’t. Because of this, I find
great joy in helping other Moms and Dads to be able to reach their
financial goals and be able to remain where their heart is, at home with
their children.
As Shep worked diligently to develop a successful home-based business,
I have to confess that I was not always as supportive as I should have
been. Why? I did not understand the business model, or the true
potential of network marketing. I witnessed my husband work very hard,
develop a large success line, then have the company he was involved with
change to a direction he was not interested in going. Additionally I
had some negative experiences with “network marketing people” who tried
pushing their business on me. I mistakenly interpreted
this as what network marketing was all about. I was wrong. In
retrospect I now know that these individuals were trying hard but were
either very poorly trained or not trained at all.
As we became involved with our current company we came to know the
owners and their integrity…both as individuals and as businesspeople.
Shep stepped forward to quickly build a successful business and this
time I vowed to do everything I could to be a supportive partner.
Shortly thereafter, I became aware that I could not physically continue
to work the 80-100 hour weeks my practice demanded. This spurred my
desire to help develop a good, strong residual income. Today I am proud
to be a network marketing professional. I love being able to work from
home and determine my work schedule. I am excited to represent a unique
company which produces incredibly yummy gourmet vegetable candles and
spa quality products that we provide to our growing, happy customer
base. What excites and rewards me the most, however, is to watch our
growing team of Business Partners reach success.
Our position as the Founding Distributors and very first team of
husband/wife Directors gives me an opportunity to share what I have
learned to help people just like you accomplish their
personal goals. If you decide that this business is a “go” for you, you
will discover that I am very focused and committed to working with you,
one on one, so you have a firm foundation for your success. You will
have a solid education and a full complement of business methods at your
fingertips. And, through our team training calls and online community,
you will meet our other business partners and join a team of positive,
energetic, supportive, and successful women and men.
I could go on and on, but here’s the bottom line: If you want to be in
control of your time and finances so that you can
determine how you live your life….if you are serious about
starting and succeeding in you own business and if you
understand that it takes effort and dedication to be successful, call
me. It will be worth your time to see if what we have will give you the
opportunity to live your life the way you want.
